- Ahmedabad, Gujarat: A 2-month-old baby tested positive for the virus.

- Chennai and Salem, Tamil Nadu: two patients. Stable.
What is HMPV?
Human Metapneumovirus is a respiratory virus causing mild to severe respiratory disease from the common cold-like symptoms up to bronchiolitis and pneumonia. But, it majorly infects children below five years of age. Elderly and immunocompromised are at risk of more serious symptoms.
