On the last day of G20, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni as well as several of his European counterparts. All meetings are aimed at increasing bilateral and multilateral ties, covering various strategic issues, including trade, investment, technology collaboration, global challenges such as climate change, and geopolitical stability
The leaders agreed to further deepen India-Italy relations by working and building on shared cultural and economic interests at a meeting with PM Meloni. The said deliberations included the expansion of trade, strengthening defense cooperation, and developing more technology partnerships.
Along with meeting with Italy, the Prime Minister also sat with leaders of the European Union. This also shows India focusing on global cooperation and trying to address such significant issues through cooperation as sustainable development, digital transformation, and more.
In this G20 summit, India also uses this opportunity to declare its critical position in determining new directions in policies of the world and their partnerships across the globe.
