The customers reported experiencing surprising discounts applied to their orders valued at or above ₹199. According to them, they received as much as ₹5,00,000 worth of ‘free cash.’ A Reddit user, @Technical-Relation-9, reportedly first called out the bug, posting a picture of the message below: “Enjoy ₹5,00,000 free cash, applied on your order above ₹199.
Many users took the opportunity, getting orders placed and received at an enormous discount. However, soon after, several of them were called by the Swiggy customer service team, asking them to return all the items given for free in error.
